STANDING EXHIBITION OF UKRAINIAN COMMODITIES TO OPEN IN LITHUANIA

The standing Exhibition of Ukrainian commodities is being prepared for opening in the capital of Lithuania – the city of Vilnus. The exhibition will be opened in October 2000 on the basis of Lithuanian-Ukrainian Information, Economic and Cultural Center INFOLUIS. The Center was established in April of the current year by the Trade Economic Mission of Ukraine to Lithuania and the National Information & Analytical Center for Monitoring of International Commodity Markets DerzhZovnishInform, located in Kiev, with the purpose of facilitation of business and cultural relations between Ukraine and Lithuania.

As its organizers see it, the Exhibition of Ukrainian commodities in Lithuania is called to provide presentation of samples of Ukrainian commodities on the Lithuanian territory, as the basis for efficient specific negotiations with direct buyers, and to secure profitable wholesale transactions with minimized time and financial expenditures of the parties.

The Exhibition will take place in a prestigious district of Vilnus.

CJSC INFOLUIS provides the Ukrainian business entities that are exhibitors in Vilnus with a number of services. The Center:

· FREE OF CHARGE provides Ukrainian business entities with 10 to 20 square m in the building of information, economic and cultural Center of Ukraine in Lithuania for display of the enterprise’s exposition;

· should it be necessary, FREE OF CHARGE provides exhibitors with warehouses and areas within an adjoining covered yard for storage of large-size exhibits;

· introduces Ukrainian exhibitors’ commodities and offers to officials and business entities of the Baltic states;

· coordinates purchase-and-sale conditions and conducts pre-contract preparations of the transactions;

· provides accomodation for the representative of a Ukrainian exhibitor in Vilnus during exposition, negotiations, and signing of a contract;

· consults on promotion of commodities to the Baltic market.

Participation of business entities and entrepreneurs in the Exhibition is organized by the National Information & Analytical Center (NIAC) DerzhZovnishInform in Ukraine and CJSC INFOLUIS in Lithuania.

In order to participate in the Exhibition, it is necessary:

· to present samples or models of commodities and product certificates;

· to submit a commercial offer providing export conditions;

· to transport exhibits and advertising materials to Vilnus.

NIAC DerzhZovnishInform:

· prepares and translates all information and accompanying documents to the official languages of information, economic and cultural Center of Ukraine in Lithuania under individual orders;

· designs and makes exhibition boards and drafts of booklets and catalogues;

· provides information references on foreign-trade legislation;

· consults on Ukrainian foreign-trade legislation;

· prepares the mailing list of all the major exporters and importers in the Baltic states;

· conducts advertising campaigns through its periodicals;

· provides an enterprise with the information support and advertises its products in the Internet.
