Ukraine’s production of coal increased by +0,8 mn t, results of autumn-winter 2003-2004

According to the results of autumn-winter 2003-2004, Ukraine’s production of coal made up 41,2 mn t, including production of power-generating coal 22,2 mn t. If compared to the analogous period of 2002-2003, Ukraine’s coal mining increased by +0.8 mn, including production of power-generating coal +1.2 mn t. During the period under review, coal producing enterprises of Ukraine supplied 12.2 mn t of coal articles with the average ash content of 24.4% to the heat stations.

In January-February 2004 Ukraine produced about 3.3 mn t of coke. If compared to the analogous period of 2003, Ukraine’s production of coke increased approximately by +8.4%, or by +400 ths t.
