Dneprovagonmash extends production of railway platforms for containers’ transportation.

According to the data by Dneprovagonmash OJSC (Dneprodzerzhinsk, Ukraine) which is specialized on production of cargo railway cars, extended production of railway platforms for containers’ transportation upon the order of Russian shipping companies. The customer remains confidential, but according to the preliminary data, over 80% of the mentioned products are shipped to Russian Federation. Among the Russian customers should be mentioned the following companies: Eurosib company (Saint-Petersburg), Vyskunskiy Metallurgical Plant, Omsktekhugol OJSC, Yaroslavskiy Technical Carbon OJSC.

According to the contract, the company launched production of platforms for transportation of one or two containers of wide range of dimention-types. It also foresees improving of loading and unloading capacities, strengthening of containers’ fastening; adjusting the model: the new platform has no sides and flooring.

The mentioned specialization extends the enterprise’s profile, which started production of railway platforms for container and piggyback transportation. The enterprise also produces modernized platforms (with 48 t and 66 t capacity) for road-trains and large-tonnage containers adapted for international transportation in piggyback trains “Yaroslav” and “Viking”.
