Ukraine fulfilled tube export quota to Russia by 24%, January-March 2004.

In January-March 2004 Ukraine exported to Russia about 113.8 ths t of small and medium diameter tubes, fulfilling the annual quota by 23.6%. This information was reported at the press-service of the Ministry of economy and European integration of Ukraine.

According to the press-service, the rest of the mentioned quota for small and medium diameter tubes to Russian Federation made up 366.9 ths t.

As it was reported at the pres-service, as of April, 1, Ukraine supplied to Russia 68.8 ths t of large diameter tubes, fulfilling the annual quota by 29.9%. The rest quota for large diameter tube made up 161.1 ths t.

For reference. January, 5 2004 Russian Federation and Ukraine signed an agreement on quotas for import of tubes by Ukraine to Russia in 2004. In 2004 Ukraine is expected to supply 715 ths t of tubes to Russia, 230 ths t of which will be supplied in large diameter tubes, 4,200 ths t in stainless steel tubes. At the present moment Russia remains to be the main market for the Ukrainian tube articles.
