Machine building enterprises of Lugansk region produced goods for UAH 997,4 mln in 2003.

Machine building is one of the most promising economic sectors of Lugansk region. Starting 2000, enterprises have been facilitating commercial production volumes. The region’s output in 2003 was UAH 997.4 mln., growth rate versus 2002 made 118.0%. Enterprises of the region put on stream manufacturing of 27 new products, introduced 17 new technological processes, including 2 low-waste, non-waste, and resource-saving technologies, some enterprises underwent technical refit, and new sites were commissioned.
