According to the preliminary results of January 2004, the largest coking coal supplies to Ukraine were conducted in coking coal of “G” group (44% portion in total imports of coking coal). Physical volumes of “G” coal imported to Ukraine made up 321 ths t at the average price level of USD/MT 50. Coking coal “Shikhta” was imported in volumes of about 198 ths t or approximately 27% at the average price level of USD/MT 62. The portion of “CC” coking coal occupied about 13% of total imports, or about 92 ths t at the average price level of USD/MT 51. Imports of “Zh” coking coal made up about 54 ths t or approximately 7% at the average price level of USD/MT 58. Imports of “K” coking coal made up about 36 ths t or about 5% at the average price level of USD/MT 64.
