Alchevsk ISW plans to increase production by 5,5% in 2004.

In 2004 Alchevsk ISW (Alchevsk, Lugansk region of Ukraine) plans to increase production by 5.5%, or by UAH 145.2 mn against the results of 2003, up to UAH 2,785.2 mn. As it was reported earlier, in December 2003 Alchevsk ISW increased production by 4.3%,or by UAH 10.661 mn against November, up to UAH 260.051 mn.

In total, during 2003 the ISW increased production by 33.2%, or by UAH 658.078 mn against 2002, up to UAH 2,640.018 mn.

The enterprise specializes on the production of foundry and open-hearth pig iron, plates and section of ferrous metals, low magnetic and titanium steel. The company is a monopolist for the production of double-ply sheet, stainless plates, special purpose steel, steel shot.

In 2004 the Industrial Union of Donbass, which is the strategic investor to the ISW, plans to conduct an overhaul and equipment reconstruction in sinter, furnace, and rolling production sections of the Works. Volume of works within the frames of investment program for 2004 will make up about UAH 600 mn.
