Article composition of the Ukrainian import of coking coal in 2003.

According to the preliminary results of 2003, the largest supplies of coking coal to Ukraine were conducted in coal of “G” group, the portion of which occupied 50% in the Ukraine’s import of coking coal. Supplies of “G” group coking coal made up about 4.1 mn t at the average price level over USD/MT 43. “Shikhta” coking coal was supplied in volumes of about 1.7 mn t or approximately 21% at the average price level of USD/MT 55. Portion of “CC” coal occupied about 10% of total supplies or about 780 ths t at the average price level of about USD/MT 50. Coking coal of “K” group was imported in approximate volumes of 770 ths t (9%) at the average price level of USD/MT 56. Coking coal of “Zh” group was imported in volumes of about 460 ths t (about 6%) at the average price level of USD/MT 57. The lowest imports were conducted in coking coal of “D” group – about 300 ths t (approximately 4%) at the average price level of USD/MT 22.
