Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant started production of portal cranes.

Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant (Kramatorsk, Donetsk region of Ukraine) signed the international contract on the production of portal cranes, which is new kind of products for the plant. According to the “Program of social and economic development of the Ukrainian sea commercial ports till 2010“ and decisions by the Board of the Ministry of transport of Ukraine, the portal crane KPP16/20/36 was offered for the construction and supply to the Ukrainian ports. The crane is of joint Ukrainian-German production, developed at the base of “Sokol” portal crane (Kranbau Eberswalde).

The large international tender was conducted before the mentioned agreement. Six well-known world companies took part in it. Kranbau Eberswalde, the German company, won the tender and offered Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant to become the head enterprise on the production of portal cranes, using production of other Ukrainian plants for the production of certain units.

At the present moment Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant is to start production of two portal cranes.
